A testimony from His blessed son
Denny Daniel (India)
Hebrews 13:5 says "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee". I never really understood this verse, till ...
It was late March of 2003. Everyone was busy preparing for their exams and so was I. All my textbooks were soiled except one, Maths. The only paper that I hated the most. But the exam was at hand. My math exam was scheduled for 9am, the next day. The previous night at around 11pm, i tried to read but i didn't understand anything. Teachers, friends, relatives and mom were expecting good grades from me but i was about to fail my exams. I didn't know what to do. I realised my pitiful state. I knew nothing could be done. Dad went to be with the Lord the previous year and being the eldest son, i was crowned with all the responsibilities. Fear overpowered me.
I quietly approached my mom who had just finished reading the bible and was about to say her bed-time prayers. When I explained to her, she calmly replied, "Son, go and pray. I will pray for you". I quietly obeyed her. The burden was great. I knelt beside my bed, placed my hands on my Math textbook and started praying. Tears wetted my bedsheet. After praying for 10 minutes, I felt an urge to open the book. It was 11:15pm. After 40 minutes of reading, I went to sleep. Surprising enough, I slept peacefully.
Next day, I entered the examination hall at 8:45am. The fear in my compelled me to keep my hands on the question sheet and pray. At 9am, I was told to open the question sheet. All I could remember was opening the question sheet and holding the pen to answer them. But, I don't know what happened next. I felt someone holding my hand and writing the exam. The exam duration was 2 hrs and 30 minutes. I found myself walking out of the exam hall in 2 hrs. When I walked out, i came to my senses. I gazed at my question sheet. I always marked the question that I attended. It had no markings. I didn't understand anything. Slowly, it dawned that it was God who held my hand and wrote the exam for me. Hallelujah. When the results were declared, I stood first in my college scoring 96 in Maths. Praise God.
Isa 41:20 says "That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this..."
In late December of 2004, when Anna (Refer testimony dated September 18, 2006), a good friend of mine, was enjoying her stay at Sri Lanka, I was enjoying my vacation at Cape Comorin which happens to be the southern most tip of India. My friends and I had organised a beach meet on 26th morning. The same day, at noon after we finished and as we returned back home, Tsunami hit those beaches badly. Everything was destroyed but God kept me and Anna alive to testify about his goodness to you all. God is good and His mercies endureth for ever.
And now do i fully trust in the verse, Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
